MoviePro - Pro Video Camera1.0.6
Publisher Description
Make every shot your own. MoviePro brings manual camera control, professional recording formats, live scopes and audio tools to iPhone and iPad. Shoot films, documentaries, music performances, field reports and everyday moments with a setup that fits the scene. All capture modes are free.
PRO CONTROL, READY TO SHOOT
Start in Pro with direct access to ISO, shutter speed or angle, white balance, tint, focus and zoom. Use automatic settings where you need them and take manual control where it matters. Adjust aperture on supported variable-aperture cameras. Set A/B focus and zoom points for repeatable moves, and save camera setups as presets for your next shoot.
Switch to Auto for fast-moving situations. Tap to place focus and exposure, use focus or exposure lock, hold white balance, and adjust brightness and motion blur without managing every setting yourself.
RECORD FOR YOUR WORKFLOW
. 4K, 1080p and 720p with H.264 or HEVC
. ProRes 422, HQ, LT and Proxy on supported devices
. Full-sensor ProRes RAW and RAW HQ to a compatible external SSD or ProVideo Storage on device
. Apple Log and Apple Log 2, SDR and HDR recording
. Frame rates up to 240 fps where supported, with exact NTSC rates in Pro
. Time of Day or Record Run timecode on supported recording paths
. Aspect-ratio guides and crops, anamorphic desqueeze and 35mm adapter flip
. Selectable stabilization and Long-Record Mode for extended takes
SEE YOUR LOG FOOTAGE IN COLOR
View Apple Log and Apple Log 2 as Original Log, Rec.709 or Rec.2100 HLG HDR. Keep the viewing transform in the preview while recording the original Log image, or bake the selected look into supported recordings. Preview and recording choices stay explicit, so you know what you are saving.
JUDGE THE IMAGE
Open the waveform, RGB parade, Vectorscope or Histogram to evaluate exposure and color. Check focus with peaking and exposure with zebras, false color and clipping indicators. Send a clean HDMI picture to a compatible external display.
HEAR WHAT YOU ARE RECORDING
Connect a wired microphone, USB audio interface, wireless receiver or supported Bluetooth microphone. Select your audio source, adjust available input gain and monitor through headphones. Expanded meters and peak hold help you watch levels, with warnings for clipping, silence and disconnection. Choose AAC, LPCM or 32-bit Float audio where supported.
TWO CAMERAS, ONE MOMENT
Use Dual Capture on compatible devices to record two angles together. Choose picture-in-picture, split screen, separate files or switching between cameras in a single recording. Move and resize the picture-in-picture inset while filming.
DIRECT FROM ANOTHER DEVICE
With the Remote Control purchase, use another iPhone or iPad to see the camera's live picture, adjust supported controls and start, pause or stop a take over Wi-Fi or Personal Hotspot. Compatible Apple-silicon Macs can also act as controllers using the iPad app. Apple Watch offers preview and start/stop control.
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR TAKES
Record to the MoviePro Library, Photos, Files or compatible external storage. Check storage and thermal status during a shoot. Review Take Receipts and clip information for recording details and warnings, mark Favorites or Good Takes, and share your footage. Dedicated iPad layouts work in portrait and landscape.
FREE CAMERA. OPTIONAL REMOTE CONTROL.
Use Auto, Pro, scopes, presets and Dual Capture without a recording purchase. Unlock Remote Control with a one-time purchase; no subscription is required. Eligible previous purchases can be restored in the app.
Features, formats and frame rates vary by device, operating system, camera and recording setup.

Thank you for the reports that shaped this update. Keep them coming at support@moviepro.app. 10.0.2 Aug 25 MoviePro 10.0.1 is a stability and fidelity release, built almost
entirely from your reports since the 10.0 launch. Thank you for sending
them — nearly every line below started as an email.
WHERE TO FIND TWO CONTROLS YOU'VE ASKED ABOUT
• Front camera — tap the lens chip at the top right of the viewfinder,
in either Auto or Pro, and choose Front. The chip reads FR while the
front camera is live. Lenses can't be swapped mid-take.
• Stabilization — in Pro, tap the More button at the top right, then
Stabilize: Off, Standard, Cinematic or Extreme. In Auto, MoviePro
manages stabilization for you and shows the mode it chose in the
pre-flight checklist.
FIXED — IMAGE
• Recorded video looked washed out, dull and desaturated next to the
preview. The recording path now states its colour correctly, so what
you see is what lands in the file.
• Stabilization silently switched off after changing lens or flipping to
the front camera, and stayed off until the next settings change.
• Cold-boot recordings could drop to 8-bit despite a 10-bit setting.
FIXED — CRASHES AND FAILED TAKES
• Crash when starting a 4K60 ProRes take on internal storage. ProRes 4K60
now records internally.
• Crash when switching between HDR and SDR with the camera running.
• Crashes when setting focus point, exposure compensation or zoom.
• Crash when switching modes while a session was tearing down.
• DualCam could refuse to start a recording entirely.
• A freeze when tapping Record.
FIXED — FRONT CAMERA AND ORIENTATION
• iPhone 17 Pro: front-camera files recorded upside-down.
• The Mirror Front Cam setting behaved backwards.
• Preview flipped the wrong way when rotating the phone.
• Launching with the front camera saved now starts on the front camera.
FIXED — DUALCAM
• Audio dropped out when switching cameras mid-take.
• The front camera was stretched in composited takes.
• A black first frame at the start of a recording.
• Your PIP position and live camera are restored between sessions.
• Larger, more reliable touch targets throughout.
FIXED — LONG RECORD
• The preview froze after a 4K take or a mode switch.
• Long Record now honours your H.264 and ProRes codec choice instead of
always recording HEVC.
• Remote preview holds a steady frame rate while recording 4K.
FIXED — ELSEWHERE
• "Frames Dropping" warnings counted preview frames as lost footage —
they now report only what actually left your recording.
• The Take Receipt could mislabel the frame rate of a clip.
• Storage warnings no longer claim a block that isn't there.
• Status pills could creep under the Dynamic Island in portrait.
• Importing a photo could fail without telling you.
NEW
• 100 and 200 fps high-speed recording.
• Volume buttons start and stop recording. Turn it off in Settings ›
Lens & Rig.

aperture, stabilization — embedded in every Pro file.

version v10.0.5
posted on 2026-10-06
Version History What's new in 10.0.5
More reliable recording
• Fixed rare cases where stopping right after starting, or an interruption just as a take began, could end without a saved clip.
• If a take can't start, MoviePro now tells you instead of failing quietly.
Apple Log
• Zebras and focus peaking now work while you record Apple Log or Apple Log 2.
Clearer settings
• Long-Record Mode and ProRes RAW: audio settings and 35mm Flip now show only what those modes can actually record.
• The Pro Video Storage alert now takes you straight to the setting.
A calmer camera screen
• Heat and sensor-pressure warnings now appear only when they're critical.
• The audio-clipping pop-up is gone; the meters still show your levels.
• The timer stays in place, dimmed, while a take finishes saving.
If you like, please do not forget to leave a 5 star rating or review in AppStore. For any concerns or feedback, feel free to contact us at support@moviepro.app .

Lens & Rig.
• Screen Dimmer gains a Black level — hide the preview completely while
recording to save power.
• A time-of-day timecode track on recorded files, for DaVinci Resolve
and Final Cut Pro.
• Pro capture settings — ISO, shutter angle, white balance, lens,
aperture, stabilization — embedded in every Pro file.
• Tap the gold badge on a preset to deselect it.
• Tap to Hide Interface, with an explanation of what it does.
• A support diagnostics block, so a bug report can carry the facts we
need to fix it.
Keep the reports coming — support@moviepro.app. They work. 10.0.1 Aug 13 MoviePro 10 is a ground-up rewrite — new capture engine, new interface, new everything.
• All-new Auto mode that makes the pro exposure, focus and white-balance decisions for you

• Presets, expanded: one-tap Pro setups — Interview, Field Report, Music Performance, YouTube Studio, Cinematic Log
• ProRes, Apple Log and 10-bit HDR recording
• Exact NTSC capture at 23.98, 29.97 and 59.94 fps in Pro mode on supported devices
• Live waveform, vectorscope and RGB parade scopes
• DualCam: record front and back cameras at once
• Remote-control a second iPhone over your local network
• Take Receipt after every clip — know exactly what you shot
• Redesigned library, full iPad layouts, and a new Apple Watch app

New in Version 8.7:
• Apple Watch Support:
The companion app automatically gets installed on paired Apple Watch. Simply use it as a Watch Remote to control MoviePro camera on iOS.
• A change in 'Camera Switching while Recording behaviour:
The newer generation iOS devices(2018 and above) support MultiCamera recording. MoviePro app supports Multicam preset and 4 recording formats (Picture in Picture, Split Screen, Two Files, and CamSwitch). A MultiCam preset with CamSwitch format provides zero delay camera switching while recording. The legacy implementation of switching cameras in MoviePro has noticeable delay while switching cameras. It's use is therefore discouraged. But keeping in view of older devices that do not support multicam, we have provided a setting to still enable the legacy Camera Switch while Recording in the settings menu.

• Exact NTSC capture at 23.98, 29.97 and 59.94 fps in Pro mode on supported devices
• Live waveform, vectorscope and RGB parade scopes

But keeping in view of older devices that do not support multicam, we have provided a setting to still enable the legacy Camera Switch while Recording in the settings menu.

version 10.0.2
posted on 2026-09-12
Version History MoviePro 10.0.2 puts the controls you use most closer to the shot.
• Auto has a new quick-control bar for Stabilization, Motion Blur, Torch, Grid and Remote.
• A new camera toggle in Auto mode makes switching between the front and rear cameras faster.
• Direct +/− zoom controls now include adjustable zoom speed. Preferred Zoom UI (+/- or zoom rocker) can be enabled in Settings.
• Supported microphones gain manual input-gain control.
• Take Receipts are now off by default and can be enabled at any time in Settings. This keeps the recording view unobstructed, based on user feedback.
• iPad capture controls, audio panels, Settings and Library playback are clearer and better fitted in both orientations.
• Apple Log, Apple Log 2, ProRes SDR and 10-bit HEVC now preserve color and codec intent more accurately.
• Stabilization tiers are resolved against the active camera format, with clearer unavailable states.
• Frame-drop handling is more accurate, and capture-pipeline performance has been optimized for demanding recording formats.
• Numerous fixes and enhancements make recording start and stop, clip finalization when MoviePro moves to the background, lens switching, Long Record codec handling and zoom more reliable.
• UX refinements improve text sizing, legibility and accessibility, addressing feedback about controls that were difficult to read.
NOTE: To switch between the front and rear cameras while recording, select 'Dual' scene and choose 'Cam Switch' as the recording type. Stabilization and zoom in DualCam have also been fixed. Dual scene provides seamless switching between cameras with zero delay.
• All-new Auto mode that makes the pro exposure, focus and white-balance decisions for you
• Rebuilt Pro mode: precision manual rails for ISO, shutter, white balance, tint, focus and zoom, plus A/B focus pulls
To longtime MoviePro users: thank you for your patience. This rewrite is for you — and everything you already paid for stays yours. If you have any concerns, please contact us at support@moviePro.app 10.0 Aug 6 - Bug fixes for audio meters not showing in iOS 26.4 version series 9.2 Apr 20 MoviePro 9.1
• Fixed an issue affecting HEVC recording when using the Apple Log 2 color profile
• Added support for high-quality audio recording with Bluetooth microphones
• Expanded audio and video metadata details in the Video Library
• Improved reliability when recording with Apple Watch as a remote
• General stability improvements and performance enhancements
